In the news: Ronaldo Shuts Xavi up with Ruthless Attack

In the news: Ronaldo Shuts Xavi up with Ruthless Attack, Sports, Lionel Messi, CR7,
Yesterday, Ronaldo unleashed a scathing tirade at Xavi Hernandez who had earlier brought up the never ending the Messi-Ronaldo comparison when he claimed Ronaldo was unfortunate to be playing in the same era as Messi.

Ronaldo in untypical fashion went ahead to rejoinder with a blast by saying(amongst many other stuff) Xavi was playing in an obscure country(Qatar) and had never won the Ballon d'Or and so he(Ronaldo) didn't give a hoot about his thoughts.

Me thinks Messi vs Ronaldo god/king comparison is overrated. If Messi is that good when compared to Ronaldo, why hasn't he swept the 9 Ballon d Ors up for grabs in the last 9 years? Why did he pick five and let Ronaldo have 3 and Kaka 1? Matter of fact, Ronaldo is the favourite to pick this year's, technically leaving him with 4. So 4(Ronaldo) vs 5(Messi) is too close for anyone to tell me Messi is miles ahead of Ronaldo! The numbers don't lie please!

Ronaldo is a ruthless beast! I confirmed this when Manchester United played Arsenal in the champions league knockout stage at the Emirates in 2009. Back then, he was in his elements!

After scoring a long range stunner of a freekick early in the game, he together with Rooney combined for a 2 to beat 5 counter attack. One of the best counters I've ever seen in my life.

Ronaldo who started that counter sprang for up to 70 yards to latch onto the reverse ball from Rooney, ghosting stealthily through nearly half of the on-field Arsenal players in the process, before blasting the ball past a helpless Manuel Almunia from range.

No doubt, Messi is gifted with a plethora of skills and touches but what Ronaldo lacks in skill, he makes up for in ruthlessness in the last third of the pitch. In summary, Cristiano Ronaldo is almost as efficient and even as consistent as Lionel Messi.
