You're not depressed, my dear. You're just stuck on the wrong side of Instagram.
If hope deferred makes the heart weak, looking at celebrity weddings and their luxury vacations won't make you feel any better, at least for now. It can make the kindest of souls grow restless, discontent and spiteful.
These feelings can paralyse you and inject you with an unshakeable lethargy. You don't feel like going out, and when you do, you wear black and put your head down to avoid attention.
For the other humans, this usually marks the beginning of a destructive cycle of painkilling habits - drugs, risky sexual behavior, alcohol or anything to distract from the dreary mess.
But for you, it's different because you know that the devil is a liar.
You've grown to recognise his antics and you scoff at his predictability and lack of creativity.You know he's a seasoned illusionist. Nothing he does is truly real.
And so, rather than waste a second on self-pity, you will focus on your reliable bounce back strategy.
You'll go to gatherings of positively charged people. You'll watch Youtube videos of people who inspire you. You'll listen to podcasts in your industry that give you ideas and inject you with a fresh sense of possibility.
You'll listen to the song "Reckless Love" by Colin Ashbury.
You'll go watch a superhero movie and get high on chilled Fanta. 😉😉😉
And then you'll start to feel your confidence grow back on. You'll feel your strength and smile return.
You'll get back to your grind with intensity, one more powerful time.
We don't know depression.
We don't do drugs.
We don't validate self pity.
We're always happy.
We're always productive.
We're always a source of light, joy and hope to our world.
We, my friends, are the Top 1% of the highest performing individuals the earth has ever seen and VICTORY IS OUR LIFESTYLE.
