Adekola Storms Motherless Home With Gift Items, Cash On His Birthday

Adekola Storms Motherless Home With Gift Items, Cash On His Birthday
Hon. Segun Adekola representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives, Abuja, today stormed the Erelu Adebayo Children's Home, Igede Road, Iyin-Ekiti with enormous gift items ranging from Bags of rice, millet, sugar, Noddles, generator set, Pampers, biscuits, among others, to celebrate his 2016 birthday to the glory of God and service to humanity.

Adekola, who was drenched in tears as he recounted his journey in life, lamented that the journey has not been rosy or smooth so far. He said his elementary school days were cumbersome and nothing to write home about; adding that the university days were full of pains and agony until he prayed to God Almighty who later sent him a helper.

"I give thanks, honour, glory and adorations to God Almighty who has spared my life till today. It has not been by my power nor my might, but God Almighty, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end and the all in all for my life.

"You can only understand pains and hunger if you've once experienced one. I have tasted it in my life and so I have vowed to always reach out to the poor, the indigent and the orphans as long as I live. It hasn't been easy!

"The way I was born was the way these little kids were born. I was only privileged to be brought up by my biological parents and that never put these little promising children who never enjoyed the same privilege at a disadvantage.
So each time I look back at the potency of this privilege, I dim it necessary to mingle and relate with these potential leaders which nature have denied the beauty and joy of motherhood but which God has never," Hon. Adekola remarked.

He further appreciated the management of the orphanage and promised the home of his regular visit and sense of largesse from time to time.

Praying for the management team of the orphanage and the kids, Hon. Adekola prayed that God will continue to prosper their ways, guide their children and protect their families, just as they are doing to the kids. He prayed for the kids and assured them of brighter future irrespective of their present conditions, adding that only God knows what the future holds for individuals.

Still recounting his ordeals on several attempts he had made while aspiring for this post, Hon. Adekola gave thanks once again to God for later using Gov. Ayodele Fayose for him in his fourth attempt and urged the good people of the state to keep praying for the success of the governor as a promise keeper who never reneged on his promises.

While responding on behalf of the management, Mrs Adeniyi, who described herself as a Social Worker in charge of the home, acknowledged the kind gesture displayed by the honourable and extended her greetings to the wife, Mrs. Adekola, for allowing her husband to meet the needs of the orphans.

She said the gesture was a laudable one and almost unprecedented considering the number of valuable items donated for the well being of the kids. She added that the kids are always happy each time such visit is paid to the home, especially in marking birthday with them.

"This type of visit usually gives our kids the expected sense of belonging anytime it happens. We are so glad today that Honourable Adekola had decided to celebrate his 2016 birthday with our kids.
God Almighty shall continue to strengthen you, provide for you and uphold your family, and even take you to the greater height in your career and daily endeavours.

"We urge you sir never to relent in doing good and reaching out to the poor and the needy. We equally beseech other well meaning Ekiti sons and daughters to see this kind of gesture as a necessity and means of expressing gratitude to God for His goodness in our lives," the home spokesperson admonished.

Mrs Falade later gave the vote of thanks and prayed once again for the celebrant and his well wishers. She said the glory of God shall never depart from him and he shall live to fulfil destiny in life in good health and sound mind.

Hon. Adekola posed in photographs while cutting the birthday cake with staff of the orphanage, his family members and the well wishers, as he later joined the orphans in its sharing and eating of the foods in a lighter mood.
