SELF-SCRUTINISING YOUR CONTENT

Before we move on, I'll share an interview session that made someone loose his internship offer with you. Follow me!

Q1. Interviewer: "..Please, what's your name?"

A1. Interviewee: "am Banjo Lekan, sir."

Q2. Interviewer: "Where do you reside?"

A1. Interviewee: "i reside in Yaba, Herbert Macaulay way"

Now, let's spot the issues. There was a spelling error in the 1st and 2nd response above.

The 1st was supposed to be "I am" and not "am" whilst the 2nd response was meant to be "I" and not "i"

Yes! That small mistake? That was simply how someone lost an internship opportunity.

WHAT'S THE TAKE HOME?

It's okay to share some content when you're still new in the digital game, no one would question you. It's okay to not pay attention to your pictures and captions when you are new, no one will castigate you.

It's alright to demonstrate your humble beginnings here, as long as you are NEW, no problem.

But the moment people begin to notice you and your morale is moving up small-small, be careful.

That moment you start getting at least one 'like' on every content shared, be careful. That moment when your relevance and value is helping the world, stay careful and learn to scrutinise what you share.

While you're setting that great digital ambition for yourself, beware of what you share here. Not everyone will understand.

While you're demonstrating your giftings and 'orisirisi' talents, make sure you scrutinise your contents, properly. The fortunate and seemingly unfortunate thing about the matter is that you're growing and not everyone will forgive your mistakes.

Some people don't even expect you to make mistakes as they believed you knew what you're doing which is true.

What's tonight 'preaching' about? Okay, it's basically about being extra-careful of what you share.

When it comes to telling stories, share stories and help bring other people out of where they are.

When it comes to picture and you don't have too much, take at one QUALITY studio picture and use it until people begin to complain.

However, nobody says you should keep using one picture when you have the money, just depict excellence small. The objective is not even their complaint, the objective is that you are showing up on a daily basis which is the real deal.

When it comes to copying people's content too, please copy with 100% sense if at all you must copy. Be a content creator too.

All these things will become known to you later on. You can start it small but never remain small. Grow! Whatever is worth doing WELL is worth doing badly at first but you mustn't continue to bad says the phenomenal John Obidi. That's the idea.

Bottom line, remain consistent and input some measure of excellence in your life, work, ambitions and strategies.
