All all I see on display every now and then, is emergency planning; moving with the tide instead of creating the tide. Of recent, they've latched onto Joe Agi vs Ayade's supreme court verdict which is coming up on the 9th of December.
That dream is about to be shattered as Joe Agi(SAN) was indicted a couple of days back in a bribery case involving men of the bench. Last I heard, he's on the run. This evidence is likely going to swing the final verdict more in Ayade's favour.
If this happens, the state APC are likely going to come up with another emergency antic to usurp the incumbent. At this rate, Ayade's only threat in 2019 would be a mutiny within the ranks of the state PDP engineered from Abuja or anywhere to deny him the re-run ticket.
And to the APC's candidate(in-waiting), Jeddy Agba, I'll like to advise
him to stop moving about distributing motorbikes and sewing machines to
party ward chairmen. That's very outdated I must say. Cross Riverians
have long evolved.
Jeddy should borrow a template from the PDP gubernatorial candidate of Lagos state in the last elections, Jimi Agbaje and tell us how he plans to do things differently. How he's going to create jobs, revamp moribund industries and create new ones etc. Distributing of bikes is an ancient political campaign strategy that shouldn't be done openly or amidst fanfare.
