DIVINELY INSPIRED RIOT ACT TO CROSS RIVER STATE POLITICIANS

The youth in my state have suffered long enough in the hands of their politicians. Maybe that's why Calabar has turned into a hotbed of violence of late. See, no more alcohol gifts, no more hand to mouth gifts. The time has come for political hero-worshipping to stop.


The cross river youth must be liberated. It's not a coincidence that President Buhari has been so benovelent to the cross River political class- appointing so many into his cabinet. Posterity won't be fair to them or their descendants if they fail to empower the youth with jobs like their contemporaries in other geopolitical regions have been doing whenever the opportunity beckons.

The Niger Delta Affairs ministry, the NDDC, the NCC, the Federal civil service, the Nigerian Navy, the ministry of justice and all other MDA's with Cross Riverians at the helm of affairs or in the top echelon of leadership MUST have an impact on Cross River and Cross Riverians by 2019.

This charge is divine! Any of our Federal appointees who flouts it won't be treated fairly by posterity like I said earlier. An end must come to using political appointments to settle political scores or make selfish political deals.

It's time for the average Cross Riverian to start enjoying dividends of good leadership. Hence the political class should start giving them what is due them as princes and princesses and stop treating them like beggars.

I'm putting this prophetic charge out in the open so that I have enough witnesses. So tomorrow when you see a yesterday politician from Cross River suffering wanton and inexplicable personal hardship and misfortune, you won't say I didn't say this many years ago.
