There is a quarry company located at Nsan. The name of the company is Faith Quarry Plant at Nsan Community in Akampka. According to workers at the quarry, the owner of the has been arrested by orders from the State government.
A company employee revealed that due to the bad nature of the Ikom-Calabar, and Odukpani-Itu road, customers no longer come to the plant to buy chippings. Instead customers from Ugep and other areas in the central prefers to go to Ebonyi.
So, the management of Faith Quarry Plant decided to fix the bad spot along the road with heavy stones and gravels.
While the Plant was busy fixing the bad spot in Biase, State government officials connived with FERMA to arrest the owner of the company for attempting to fix the road free of charge. According to a police man who is familiar with the arrest, the government said that individuals cannot fix federal government roads.
It was then the government sent it social media PAs to go to that spot to take pictures and videos deceiving people that it was government that was doing the job. Company staff also reported to the police in Akampka that now, government officials goes to the quarry to take chippings to go fix bad spots for free. Meanwhile, they are deceiving the Federal Government that they are the ones fixing the road.
It is very sad that the Governor is taking a private initiative as his own. And also using someone resources in terms of the chippings to deceive Cross Riverians that it is government that's doing the work.
