The Nigerian entertainer popularly Known as the 'Koko Master' had shown up for a video shoot, in a Toyota RAV 4, when he got mobbed by local touts in the neighborhood.
The Sun reports that after seeing D’banj, the area boys numbering over 50, requested for cash settlement, and then proceeded to deflate his tyres. D’banj, was said to have alighted from his car and took them to an ATM where he withdrew some money to settle them.
The thugs were also said to have stripped him of his wristwatch, shoes and other jewelry.
A fan had this to say:
“I’m so excited, D’banj came to Tin Can Island to shoot a video and guys saw him. They burst his tires and held him hostage. He had to embrace every one of them and later he took them to an ATM where he withdrew some cash for them and shared among them. I love D’banj; it’s good to be a star.”
