The list of lawsuit trailing Fox’s Empire just keeps getting longer.

Marvin Gaye’s son  claims Empire was originally his idea, and he’s planning to sue Lee Daniels.

According to TMZ, Gaye’s son argues he shopped a similar concept to TV execs back in 2010 which he said was to be called “Diamonds & Ballads” (aka “Those Sons of Riches!”).

Marvin Gaye III said it was loosely based on the lives of his legendary family and the Berry Gordy family.

He insisted that the idea got to the hands of Lee Daniels via associates who received emails pitching his treatment.

His lawyer tells TMZ he plans to file a lawsuit against Daniels, Fox and others.
