The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Abuja private residence was partially destroyed by fire.
Eyewitnesses say the incident started from an air conditioner at the gymnasium section of his private residence at Number 48, Lake Chad Crescent, Maitama.
However, Saraki was not at home when the incident started as he was already playing host to a delegation from the Emir of Kano, Lamido Muhammad Sanusi II at the New Senate Building.
No casualty was recorded, as operatives of the Nigeria Fire Service were immediately deployed to the scene to put the fire under control.
