Islamist militant sect Boko Haram today killed 11 of its
members in Miringa village in Biu local government area of Borno state after
the members reportedly fled from one of its camps near the area.
The militant sect sent at least 20 fighters in hot pursuit
of the fleeing members and caught up with them in the village as they waited to
surrender to government forces.
Villagers told Saharareporters that the militants assembled
the deserting members tied them and slit their throats in the
presence of horrified villagers and then left their bodies in the village.
