Tiger Woods: ‘Cheater’ Banner Flies Over Golfer At U.S. Open

Entertainment, Celebrity News, U.S. Open

Tiger Woods sure had a lousy day at the U.S. Open. The golf legend played like he was distracted — probably due to the giant ‘CHEATER’ banner that someone flew over him!

Somebody’s holding a grudge. While Tiger Woods, 39, was busy playing in the 115th U.S. Open, he just could not get his head in the game. Maybe the huge “CHEATER” banner that was flying overhead had something to do with that? Lindsey Vonn, 30, was that you? Or did Elin Nordegren, 35, decide to do this?

Some people prefer to use text messages, Facebook or even Snapchat to express their thoughts. Seems that for one particular person, nothing less than a giant sign that everyone can see will do. While Tiger was struggling in the U.S. Open golf tournament, a plane soared above him, flying a banner that read “CHEATER” in bright red letters, reports E! News.

Tiger notoriously cheated on his ex-wife, Elin, with multiple mistresses. But the couple divorced in 2010 and both seemed to move on. Perhaps the person behind the banner was Tiger’s ex, Lindsey? They split in May 2015. However, after an initial report claiming that Tiger went back to his cheating ways.

The banner added insult to injury to Tiger. Though he has won the U.S. Open three times, he was playing like a fool this time around. He scored four bogeys (1 stroke more than par, or what’s allowed per hole) in the first seven holes. Plus, while playing the eighth hole, Tiger lost his grip on his club and the iron went soaring!

However, it’s possible that the banner wasn’t for Tiger. It could have been for Patrick Reed, as he’s been accused of cheating during tournaments while at the University of Georgia.
