MUST READ: How To Make Your Perfume Last Longer

Lifestyle, Beauty tips

You already know that there are some people who still smell like their perfume hours later? Even if they've been travelling for 10 hours straight with no bathroom breaks or have been carrying boxes up fifteen flights of stairs all day long, somehow you walk past them and still get that whiff of their perfume as strong as if they'd bathed in it moments earlier.

While there's probably some physiological reasoning behind it, another possibility is that they've already mastered this beauty hack.

There are so many different ways to apply perfume and they all affect the subtlety and longevity of your scent. The spritz into the air and walk-through, for instance, gives you a softer scent that fades faster. Then there is the old classic of applying the perfume to your pulse points (wrist, throat, elbow crease and behind the ears and knees) which helps to intensify the scent from the heat of your blood pumping through your veins. This beauty hack takes the pulse points theory one step further.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
1. Vaseline
2.  Perfume

DIRECTIONS:
Apply a small amount of vaseline to your pulse points.
Spray or dab (don't rub!) your perfume over the top of the ointment on your pulse points.

WHY IT WORKS:
Ointments like Vaseline  leave behind an occlusive layer on the skin — meaning they're not absorbed — which helps to trap the perfume molecules onto the skin and makes your scent last longer.
