Angel Di Maria's superb chipped finish for Manchester United against Leicester City has emerged victorious in the Premier League's 'Goal Cup' vote on Twitter, being chosen by fans as the best strike during 2014/15.
The Argentine scored during a 5-3 defeat at the King Power Stadium in September, was selected as one of eight standout strikes during the season, which were then paired together in a knockout format.
Users of the social platform were asked to pick their favourites, with the goal receiving the most votes progressing to the next stage until only one remained.
Having beaten off competition from Jermain Defoe and Charlie Adam to reach the final, Di Maria then came up against Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho, nominated for his long-range effort away to Southampton, in the final.
The Brazilian took an early lead but it was ultimately United's no.7 who triumphed to take the prize.
Angel's strike was recognised as one of the Reds' best of the campaign, recently finishing second to Juan Mata's acrobatic effort at Anfield in the club's Goal of the Season voting. We're sure you'll agree that it's well worth another look!
