House Of Reps Holds Valedictory Session For Tambuwal

Apart from the day of inauguration of the Seventh Assembly where members showed a lot of mutual trust and friendship, today was another day where the House of Representatives members displayed immense friendship and mutual trust as they reflected on the four-year period they have sat together in the hallow chambers of the House of Representatives in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.



A valedictory session in honour of its former Speaker,  Aminu Tambuwal, who has been elected Sokoto State Governor held today.

The event held after Tambuwal had on Tuesday May 26, handed over to his Deputy, Emeka Ihedioha, who will lead the House till June 6, when the Seventh National Assembly will wind down.

Tambuwal will mount the saddle as Sokoto State governor on Friday May 29, 2015.

Tambuwal handed over power to Ihedioha as constitution demands if he takes the oath of office as Governor while he is still Speaker of the House of Representatives.
